John H. Gordon, III

John is a principal and owner of Orleans Capital Management, Inc. Currently he is responsible for business development and client retention in all of the firm's markets.

John is also a fixed income portfolio manger with the firm and sits on its investment committee. Formerly, John was an investment analyst specializing in closely held corporations, a trust investment officer and securities trader at a major regional bank. He has served as treasurer for a parish school board and a non-profit corporation. He has been an advisor to the board of directors of several privately held corporations and currently serves on boards for two in Louisiana.

John holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and has 15 years experience in marketing and investment management. He has served as an advisor to the NCPERS executive board since 2001 and serves as a member of the Investment Committee.
