Elmer J. Khal, Immediate Past President

Elmer J. Khal Elmer J. Khal, Past President of NCPERS, served as an elected trustee for the Ohio Police and Firemen's Disability and Pension Fund for 14 years. He retired from the Cleveland Fire Department after 34 years of service. Mr. Khal is a past president of IAFF Local 93, Cleveland Fire Fighters Union (AFL-CIO). He continues highly active participation in the public employee benefits arena. Additionally, he is a director of the Greater Cleveland Fire Fighters Credit Union. Elmer serves on the Advisors, Credentials, Elections, and Program Committees. He served as NCPERS president from 2001 to 2004.
