Ronald Gracia

Detroit, Michigan

Ron Gracia is a Senior Computer Systems Analyst and is currently in his 43rd year of City Service. He is currently serving his 27th year as trustee of Detroit General Retirement System after being elected to an unprecedented 5th consecutive 6 year term. Not only is he the senior member of the board of trustees, he is also one of the most tenured trustees in the public sector. Currently as its' vice-chair , he also serves as chairman of the governing board of Employee Benefit Plans, which administers and provides health, dental, optical, and life insurance as well as death benefits for all active and retired employees of the City of Detroit, inclusive of police, fire and civilian personnel. Ron also serves as President of the 600 member union representing Professional and Technical Employees and serves as co-chair for the AFL-CIO coalition of unions. Ron has been a member of the NCPERS Executive Board since 1988, where he currently serves as co-chairman of the Education Committee and member of the Investment, Marketing, and Resolutions committees.
