Ronald Gracia

Ron Gracia is a Trustee and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Detroit General Retirement System, with current assets in excess of $3 billion. He is also the Vice Chairman Trustee of the Governing Board of Employee Benefit Plans, which administers and provides health, dental, optical, life insurance, and death benefits, for all active and retired employees of the City, inclusive of police and fire personnel, as well as civilians. He is currently the senior member of the Board of Trustees, emerging from his eighteenth year of pension board service. Having been successful in re-election, he will embark upon his fourth term of office, having served over 23 years. Mr. Gracia serves as President of the 600-member union representing professional and technical employees in the City of Detroit. He also serves as co-chair for the AFL-CIO coalition of unions. He is a 38-year employee of the city and is employed as a Senior Computer Systems Analyst. Ron is a member of the NCPERS Executive Board where he serves as Co-Chairman of the Education Committee, Chairman of the Resolutions Committee and member of the Investment and Marketing Committees.
