Cassandra T. Smoot, CMP
Director of Meetings & Expositions

Cassandra Smoot joined the NCPERS staff in 2003 as the Director of Programs and Research, bringing with her over five years of program and event planning experience. Prior to joining NCPERS, Cassandra served as the Education Program Manager for the American Pharmacists Association, where she managed the educational programming for their Annual Meeting and other continuing education programs.

In her current role as the Director of Meetings & Expositions, Cassandra is responsible for the management of all of NCPERS educational conferences and programs.

Cassandra graduated from Catholic University of America with her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. She later earned her Master's Degree in Organizational Management from the George Washington University.

In 2004, Cassandra was awarded her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification. Her future plans are to also earn her Certification in Meeting Management (CMM).
