NCPERS ANNUAL CONFERECE TACKLES CUTTING-EDGE ISSUES

NCPERS held its annual conference on May 8-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada with a record turnout of trustees, administrators and sponsors. Over 1,300 attended this year's conference and exhibition held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

Attendees heard from leading experts in the public pension world and about current issues challenging public pension plans. This is the largest gathering of public pension trustees and administrators, who came together to network and learn about cutting-edge information that they can use in their jobs as fiduciaries for their respective funds.

Monday's general session opened with the presentation of the colors by the honor guard from the Clark County Fire Department, singing of the national anthem by Clark County Fire Department Battalion Chief Robert Taylor, and the pledge of allegiance led by NCPERS First Vice President Pat McElligott. In addition, Clark County Fire Department provided emergency medical services for all attendees during the conference.
