Why visit the Hill during the Legislative?

Visiting your congressional leaders is an important part of participating in the NCPERS Legislative Conference and can be one of the most rewarding experiences you'll have.

Why your visit to Capitol Hill is important

Visiting your congressional leaders is an important part of participating in the NCPERS Legislative Conference and can be one of the most rewarding experiences you'll have. Yes, learning about the issues that impact public pensions on the Monday of the Legislative Conference is very important. But that's just half of the equation that makes for a successful Legislative Conference. Implementing what you've learned and educating your congressional members about public pensions on Tuesday completes the Legislative Conference experience.

What should you do if you're congressional member(s) are not in Washington on Tuesday? Visiting with and educating the legislative staff who handles retirement/pension issues is just as important.

So make your appointment now (certainly before you arrive in Washington in January) and register for the NCPERS Legislative Conference

Go to www.house.gov to look up your representatives. The top right of the screen is where you can look up your Rep by your zip code.
