Celebrating Public Pension Excellence: The 2023 PPCC Standards Program
Submit your application by Friday, November 3 to be considered for the Public Pension Standards awards.
Each year, the Public Pension Coordinating Council (PPCC) recognizes the public retirement systems that have met the expectations for management and administration set by the Public Pension Standards. The PPCC is a coalition of three national associations—the National Association of State Retirement Administrators (NASRA), the National Council on Teacher Retirement (NCTR), and the National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS). Together, these groups represent more than 500 of the largest public pension plans in the U.S.
The PPCC invites public retirement systems of all sizes to participate in the Public Pension Standards program, developed to reflect minimum expectations for public retirement system management and administration, as well as serve as a benchmark by which all defined benefit public plans should be measured. The deadline to participate is Friday, November 3, 2023. Details are available here. Those that meet the standards are recognized with certificate(s) and publicly acknowledged by the PPCC.
Program Highlights: The 2023 PPCC Standards Program maintains the tradition of recognizing excellence in two distinct categories: the Administrative Standard and the Funding Standard. Systems that meet the criteria for either of these standards will receive a Recognition Certificate. Those that excel in both categories will be recognized with the prestigious Public Pension Coordinating Council Standards Award.
Application Details: To support the administration of this program, there is a modest application fee of $125.00. Please find comprehensive information and register on the PPCC application page.
Important Deadlines: Please ensure that you complete your application by Friday, November 3, 2023, as the application process will close after this date. Applying early is encouraged, as it will expedite the receipt of your certificate.
