RFP: Advisory Services for Pension Administration System RFP Development

The objective of this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is for MainePERS to procure advisory services to advise and assist in the development of a request for proposal (RFP) for procurement of a Pension Administration System. MainePERS is seeking a partner to provide qualified pension administration system consulting services to analyze and assist in the procurement process. The System will serve as the primary line of business system for all MainePERS administered retirement plans and preferably, all associated services and benefits. The Contractor shall perform a full range of consulting services related to RFP development including the required system specifications (functionality, maintenance and upgrade, performance and financial reporting etc.), proposal evaluation, Bidder communication, and onboarding. MainePERS will select one firm to provide all consulting services associated with the RFP. MainePERS anticipates a preliminary engagement period of one year with three optional one-year extensions.

RFI: Pension Administration Systems

MainePERS is issuing this RFI to ascertain options and offerings currently available in the business market focused on Pension Administration Software (line of business) systems. The intent of this RFI is to gather information and better understand current industry practices and service options available to MainePERS. Specifically, MainePERS is interested in learning about system capabilities supporting the administration of defined benefit retirement plans, employer reporting functions, employer self-service, member selfservice, group life insurance, disability retirement benefits and defined contribution pension plans.
