In honor of the 90th anniversary of Social Security, NCPERS invites you to join Tyler Bond of the National Institute on Retirement Security (NIRS) and Rebecca Vallas of National Academy of Social Insurance for a special webinar this August exploring the program’s legacy and future. To better understand public sentiment, the National Academy of Social Insurance, AARP, NIRS, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce partnered with Greenwald Research in late 2024 to conduct a unique survey featuring trade-off analysis. This approach provides a deeper, more nuanced view of what Americans want when it comes to securing Social Security’s long-term funding. This webinar will present key findings from the survey and examine how they relate to the current policy debate in Washington, DC.
Attendees will:
-Gain insights into the ongoing policy debate around Social Security and its financing gap.
-Learn which policy options Americans support—and which they oppose.
-Explore the trade-offs involved in various proposals to strengthen the program’s finances.
Fee: Complimentary
This program is valid for 1 Continuing Education (CE) hour applicable toward your Accredited Fiduciary (AF) recertification and/or state-mandated continuing education requirements. This webinar will be recorded and available on demand. Please direct questions to education@ncpers.org.
