Rich Protasewich joined State Street in 2005 and is responsible for developing new business and positioning State Street’s custody and investment servicing capabilities to prospective clients. Rich’s specific market focus is the public fund segment – including municipal, state and public safety retirement plans. He monitors market and industry trends and develops competitive proposals to address each prospect’s specific investment servicing needs.

Prior to joining State Street, Rich held the position of Senior Vice President at Branch Bank & Trust’s (BB&T) Corporate Banking Group where his responsibilities included managing a group of large corporate relationships as well as calling on large market companies.

Rich started his career at Wachovia Bank and has over 23 years of experience in institutional trust and retirement services. He also held management positions in international cash management services and corporate banking.

Rich is a graduate of Wake Forest University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Secondary School Teaching Certification. He is a Certified Cash Manager (CCM).
