Certificate of Excellence for Public Pension Reporting and Transparency
Since 2011, NCPERS has conducted its annual Public Retirement Systems (PRS) Study to explore the retirement practices of the public sector. Public retirement plans across North America are invited to provide data on plan design, investment allocation and returns, actuarial assumptions, and plan governance practices. By gathering data from the full vertical profile of public pensions – state, county, and local plans – the PRS Study provides the industry's most comprehensive survey dataset.
Public pensions that participate in the PRS Study are recognized with the Certificate of Excellence for Public Pension Reporting and Transparency for furthering open disclosure, increasing the range of data from which to learn from, and contributing to the public’s understanding of public retirement systems. This award acknowledges the commitment and work that plans engage to further an atmosphere of openness between pensions and the public.
For those retirement plans that wish to proudly display their achievement, a plaque of your Certificate of Excellence for Public Pension Reporting and Transparency is available to order. This 8 x 10 plaque will serve as a tangible and lasting remembrance of your recognition.
