Pension Fund Roundtables

NCPERS Roundtables bring together public pension professionals from across the country to exchange ideas, crowdsource solutions, and stay ahead of emerging issues. Participation is free for staff at NCPERS member pension funds.

Since launching in 2020, our Roundtables have grown into a vibrant community where peers collaborate year-round. These vendor-free, virtual meetings create a trusted space for candid conversations and practical problem-solving—because no pension leader should go it alone.

CEO/Executive Director Roundtable

Pension fund CEOs and Executive Directors meet on a bi-monthly (every other month) basis via Zoom. The CEO Roundtable currently has more than 130 participants representing 123 systems.

CIO/Investment Officer Roundtable

Public pension CIOs and investment leaders meet each month via Zoom. The CIO Roundtable currently has more than 100 participants representing 88 systems.

Communications Roundtable

Communications professionals at public pensions meet on a bi-monthly (every other month) basis via Zoom. The Communications Roundtable currently has 150 participants representing nearly 100 systems.

Government Affairs Roundtable

This roundtable brings together pension fund staff responsible for advocacy efforts and/or building relationships with policymakers to meet on a monthly basis via Zoom. The Government Affairs Roundtable currently has nearly 60 participants representing 43 systems.

Human Resources (HR) Roundtable

Human Resources professionals at public pensions meet on quarterly basis via Zoom. The HR Roundtable currently has nearly 170 participants representing 100 systems.

Investments Back- & Middle-Office (IBMO) Roundtable

Intended for public pension staff who have responsibilities over investments accounting, risk, operations, and other non-front office tasks, the Investments Back- & Middle-Office Roundtable meets on a quarterly basis via Zoom. The IBMO Roundtable currently has approximately 60 participants representing nearly 40 systems.

Legal Roundtable

Pension fund legal staff responsible for securities litigation and other investment-related matters meet via Zoom each month. The Legal Roundtable has more than 70 participants representing 55 systems.
