Professional Bio
William Whitman joined NCPERS in 2023 as the Director of Membership & Strategic Alliances, bringing with him over 20 years of membership and association management experience. In this role, William oversees NCPERS’ membership recruitment and retention efforts to enhance the depth and breadth of the association’s engagement with current and potential members.
He brings to NCPERS an extensive track record of creating impactful member services for a diverse range of professional communities. He has helped build membership infrastructure and programs at four small-staff associations, allowing him to learn a variety of approaches to solve problems and spread best practices for public pension leaders.
William holds a BA in English from Hamilton College and earned the ASAE Certified Association Executive designation in 2016.
