Guided by program directors from NCPERS HR Roundtable, the Summit’s agenda reflects the realities facing public pension organizations today, ensuring every session delivers practical value participants can apply. Attendees will also gain early access to insights from the latest Public Pension Compensation Survey Report, while NCPERS’ recognition by SHRM allows you to earn Professional Development Credits (PDCs) toward SHRM-CP® and SHRM-SCP® recertification.

Beyond the Summit: NCPERS Pension Fund Roundtables & Data

NCPERS Roundtables bring together public pension professionals from across the country to exchange ideas, crowdsource solutions, and stay ahead of emerging challenges. Participation is free for staff at NCPERS member pension funds. NCPERS also produces an annual Public Pension Compensation Survey Report, in partnership with CBIZ, to help funds tackle recruitment and retention challenges by benchmarking pay and benefits against peers.

Human Resources (HR) Roundtable

Human Resources and DEI professionals at public pensions meet on quarterly basis via Zoom. The HR Roundtable currently has nearly 170 participants representing 100 systems.

Public Pension Compensation Survey

Recognizing the workforce challenges pension funds face, NCPERS annual survey explore in-depth data on 90 common positions, including benefits, salary planning, bonuses, and fund oversight. Results are presented in a detailed report and interactive dashboard.

To facilitate open dialogue, this program is exclusively open to public pension professionals. Service provider members are not eligible to attend the educational portion of this program.
Current registration rates are listed on our website. Registration includes access to all sessions, educational materials, the event app, scheduled meals, and networking events. 
Onsite registration is available unless the event sells out. We encourage early registration to guarantee space. Sign up to be notified when registration opens.

Attire is business casual for all meetings and receptions.
Yes. Attendees who book in the group block will receive the NCPERS discounted room rate while rooms are available. Booking details and deadlines are listed on the registration page under the hotel tab.
Yes. We share slides for sessions where speakers have given permission on our website and in the event app (when applicable).
No. The sessions are open to everyone. If the program includes limited-capacity workshops, we will specify in advance if sign-ups are required.
No. The Summit is offered in person only. Sessions will not be recorded.
Yes. Please reach out to events@ncpers.org so we can assist with arrangements.
Yes. SHRM PDCs will be offered for this program, along with general continuing education credits. Details on available credit hours will be shared once the program is finalized. 
After your attendance is verified, the SHRM activity ID will be provided to you and your certificate will be posted to your NCPERS membership profile within two weeks of the event.
No. Guests are not permitted. Attendance is limited to registered participants only.
The Public Pension HR Summit does not have an open call for speakers. The agenda is carefully crafted by a program committee of HR professionals, whose members consider potential speakers and extend invitations based on the goals of the program and the needs of the audience.
