Michael Linynsky
Mike Linynsky serves as a member of the NCPERS executive board. He was elected to the NCPERS board in 2022.
Linynsky currently serves as the recording secretary for the Prince George’s County Professional and Paramedics Association (Local 1619). He has been a resolute member of Local 1619 since being hired in 1999. His journey within the union began in 2002 when he became a shop steward. He has since held multiple roles in the union, including, shop steward, executive representative, second vice president, first vice president and currently the Recording Secretary. Linynsky has also been a Trustee for the Fire and Police Pension Plan in Prince George's County since 2013.
Linynsky brings a wealth of knowledge in pensions and retirement to his role as the pension trustee for Local 1619. His leadership and commitment have been recognized with his selection as a delegate for both the IAFF and PFFMD conventions.
Linynsky is also currently assigned as a Battalion Chief in the 2nd Battalion, where his leadership skills and experience are invaluable.
Linynsky's educational background includes an associate’s degree in paramedic science from Anne Arundel Community College, a bachelor’s degree in fire science management from the University of Maryland, University College, and completion of the Executive Fire Officer program at the National Fire Academy. He is pursuing a Juris Doctor at the University of Baltimore (3L) and is a Nationally Accredited Fiduciary.
Linynsky’s extensive education and practical experience make him a significant asset to both his local union and the national pension systems he supports.
