William Whitman

Director of Membership & Strategic Alliances

William Whitman joined NCPERS in November 2023 as the Director of Membership & Strategic Alliances, bringing with him over 20 years of membership and association management experience.  In this role, William oversees NCPERS’ membership recruitment and retention efforts to enhance the depth and breadth of the trade association’s engagement with current members and prospects.

Prior to joining NCPERS, William worked at the International Food Information Council where he directed the member relations for a portfolio of leading global food and beverage companies supporting education and advocacy. He brings to NCPERS an extensive track record of creating impactful services and programs for a diverse range of member communities.  He has helped build membership infrastructure within several associations, allowing him to hone his skills in identifying and applying best practices across organizations.

William holds a BA in English from Hamilton College and became an ASAE Certified Association Executive in 2016.
