2026 Communications & Member Services Summit Schedule

Day 1: Monday, March 2
2:30PM - 6:30PM
- Pick up your badge before the Summit kicks off at 2:30pm with an interactive session designed to help you get to know your fellow communications and member services professionals.
- Find inspiration with mini case studies and our keynote highlighting an Executive Director’s perspective on why the path to successful member engagement is nonlinear.
- Unwind with a view and connect with peers during our rooftop networking reception
Day 2: Tuesday, March 3
8:00AM - 5:00PM
- After breakfast at 7:00am, we’ll explore strategies for cross-generational member engagement.
- Morning breakouts dive into the lifecycle of a pension administration system, strategic communications, and tips for breaking through the noise.
- After lunch, hear from the 2026 Public Pension Communicator of the Year Award winners as they share advice with peers.
- Afternoon breakouts dive into member education strategies, fraud prevention, using data for impactful storytelling, and financial wellness.
- Attendees come together again for a general session on KPIs before an optional networking event at 6:00pm.
Day 3: Wednesday, March 4
8:00AM - 12:30PM
- After breakfast, we kick off with a general session on and facilitated discussion on AI.
- Breakouts cover soft skills for collaboration and project management and a look at the future of communications.
- The Summit closes with a general session on countering misinformation and building trust before a wrap up discussion.
Attendees can earn 14 Continuing Education (CE) hours toward your Advanced Fiduciary (AF) recertification and/or state-mandated continuing education requirements. CE credits are automatically recorded in your NCPERS membership account after the summit, where you can log in to download your CE certificate.
