With this year's ACE complete and the official start of summer right around the corner, we're spotlighting new resources, announcements, and upcoming events from NCPERS for pension leaders and stakeholders across our membership.

The NCPERS team recently returned from our extremely successful 2025 Annual Conference & Exhibition(ACE) in Denver, where the public pension community gathered for four days of learning and relationship building. ACE featured more than 80 member speakers across 40 distinct educational sessions, relaying their expertise to the largest turnout of public pension leaders in five years. 

With this year's ACE complete and the official start of summer right around the corner, we're spotlighting new resources, announcements, and upcoming events from NCPERS for pension leaders and stakeholders across our membership. Our next in-person learning and networking opportunities:

  • We're looking forward to hosting public pension CEOs and CIOs next week in New York City for the Chief Officers Summit and plan executives can still register to attend! Call for Speakers: Submit Your Proposal for the 2025 FALL Conference

We're now accepting speaker proposals for the NCPERS Financial, Actuarial, Legislative & Legal (FALL) Conference, taking place this October 26–29 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This biennial event brings together public pension trustees, staff, and industry professionals for thoughtful discussions, practical insights, and peer-to-peer learning. 

We're looking for engaging, knowledgeable speakers who can offer fresh perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing public pensions today. Learn more about our speaker criteria, and be sure to submit your proposal by August 8th

Public Pension Leaders Recognized with NCPERS Inaugural Education-Focused Awards

Congratulations to those leaders in the NCPERS community who were recently recognized with two new awards at ACE 2025 in Denver: 

The NCPERS Champions Awards honor pension fund members who have demonstrated a commitment to ongoing education for their staff and trustees, and this year's winners were: American Samoa Government Employees' Retirement Fund, Louisiana School Employees' Retirement System, Houston Municipal Employees Pension System, and Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois

The NCPERS Pension Partners of the Year Awards were presented to three Service Provider members who have made meaningful contributions to enhancing the learning experience of pension trustees and staff. Congratulations to Global Governance Advisors, Meketa Investment Group, and Northern Trust Asset Management

Have You Joined a Pension Professionals Roundtable

NCPERS is hosting a growing set of virtual Roundtables, and we encourage public pension professionals to join these one-hour gatherings with their peers. Many members have told us they greatly value these recurring opportunities to crowd-source solutions from other pension staff. Attending is free for NCPERS member pension funds -- simply sign up for the Roundtable most relevant to your work, whether you are a CEO, CIO, or Communications, Government Affairs, Human Resources, Legal, or Member Services professional.

We help members promote their open positions or industry moves by raising awareness through our broad network of contacts.
